TYPOGRAPHY IN PUBLIC SPACE

The font used for the sign outside the hotel located is well placed and gets it's message across in a balanced fashion. The portions are all spot on the larger font balances the smaller face and the vertical font adds the the balance of the  negative space from the extended tip of the number one.
The font here is used very effectively to showcase what this restaurant is trying to portray, "Locos" or Crazy. It is a stylish hot dog restaurant with exotic types of hot dogs and this sign perfectly conveys that with its brightness colors, and size.
The cocktail lounge on the corner of Stanton and Orchard  named TINY uses of font displays great artistic talent and balance. It shouts COCKTAILS with its bold and boarded font that give a very inviting feeling due it its placement and balance. The other used the same font but as a literal pun it made the sign tiny since the name of the cocktail lounge is actually "tiny", the sign comes across as humerus, stylish and welcoming at the same time.
The old fashioned stylish font used for the sign beauty and essex perfectly contrasts the old M.KATZ furniture remains of the sign as seen behind it.  The designer placed the sign in the perfect center giving it balance and style while shouting this is the new yet old type of Manhattan lounge restaurant. It shows off with it's over the top old stye type font on bright yellow colors while stile remaining classy.
The bold black basic font portrays exactly what you will get from this Greek restaurant found on Stanton and Essex street in lower Manhattan. It is very simple and to the point just like the menu and style in which Greeks tend to be, bold and to the point. The sign is balance in the center of a white background with some type of old Greek vine weaving that is found in the vineyards of Greece.
